Annotation
Maybe is the sixth novel in the series about the tragic period of history involving the Holocaust. Felix is 14-years-old now and lives in Australia. He hopes he will be safe in his new country, but he is haunted by the fear of being tracked down by a Polish killer. He and Gabriek, who earlier hid Felix at his farm, return to the farm with young Anya. But the farm has been taken over and the three are on the run, as anti-Jewish sentiment remains strong. The novel continues to explore the impact of the Holocaust on innocent children and those who fought against this regime. Maybe also tackles the post-war refugee movement.
