Annotation
Josef is only 13-years-old when he sees his parents killed in the brutal Balkans conflict. Firstly experiencing a refugee camp, he is then sent to live in Perth with an uncle he does not know, Josef struggles with an unfamiliar culture and his feisty cousin, Karina. Working at a native animal refuge saves him from desolation and helps him move forward.
