Annotation
Afghanistan is a country of great danger where the Taliban seeks young boys to join their army. Ali’s family gathers money to send Ali out of the country to safety in Germany, but his leaking boat is bound for Australia. He ends up in Woomera where school is a possibility in Adelaide, but he lands back in Woomera after breaking his temporary visa status. The plight of refugees pervades the book.
