The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) is a not for profit, volunteer run organisation. It aims to engage the community with literature for young Australians. The CBCA presents annual awards to books of literary merit, for outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature.
Each year, schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books, and Australian authors and illustrators. Teachers and librarians conduct activities relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
CBCA Book Week has been postponed and will take place from 17 to 23 October.
Notable Books for 2020: Are available in pdf format from the CBCA website.
Short List: Announced at noon AEST on Tuesday, 26 March.
Winner and Honour Books: To be announced at noon AEST on Friday, 17 October.
