In simple rhyming couplets, eleven children introduce themselves, the countries of their birth and glimpses into their lives in their new home country, Australia. Traversing the globe, we meet Charlie from Bangladesh who loves football, Wantak from Sudan who travelled far to settle in his new homeland, and Neerim from Arnhem Land whose “mob’s been there a while.”

Each full bleed double page spread features simple illustrations in solid bright colours of the children engaging in a favourite past-time, talking to their parents or playing at home. A celebration of inclusivity and diversity for the very young, this picture book recognises both the small details and the significant events that children share.
