While a lonely dingo sleeps in his cave, a storm is raging outside. A mudlark seeks shelter in the cave and tries to be quiet, not waking the dingo. Numbat, possum and wombat shelter in the cave with the mudlark and are all surprised when dingo wakes up with a “boo”. Dingo is not lonely anymore.
The descriptive rhyming text is perfect for reading out loud and the unbordered illustrations engaging and inclusive of the audience. The inclusion of little seen mudlarks and numbats in picture books is welcome.
