'Guulaangga the Green Tree Frog' is a simple tale about connecting with nature. The author was inspired to create this story based on her experiences growing up on a farm. The story focusses on the behaviour of green tree frogs and invites children to understand bush creatures better. It features Guulaangga the frog, who lives in a family’s backyard. Grandma and two children spot the Green Tree Frog and worry about its safety after a huge rainstorm.
The decorative illustrations capture both animals and their surroundings. The story features a bilingual text in English and Wiradjuri. There is an accompanying video, produced by the ABC, in which the creator speaks the story's important words in English and Wiradjuri.
