From Borroloola in the Northern Territory, 'Kangaroos Hop' is a simple chant about Australian animals and how they move. Written in English with a translation in the Yanyuwa language, this rhythmic and repetitive text will encourage young children to act out animal movements as they chant along. The vibrant illustrations created by the Balarinji Design Studio will capture young imaginations and build an appreciation for Australian native fauna.

Ideally suited to early education, this book was written to develop pre-literacy skills in children. The author Ros Moriarty is a highly successful business leader managing social enterprises. She is married to John Moriarty, a Yanyuwa man who helped found the Balarinji Design Studio.
