Based on the Logie Award-winning animated children’s series that features Miranda Tapsell and Deborah Mailman, Little J & Big Cuz follows the adventures of Indigenous Australian kids Little J and Big Cuz living with their Nanna and Old Dog. The television series now airs across ABC, NITV, and SBS On Demand. It has won Best Children’s Program (Logies), an ATOM award, an AWGIE and SDIN award.
Dot West OAM is a Noongar woman from the south-west of WA with ancestral ties to the north and has been living and working in the Kimberley region since 1977. Dot is recognised by her peers for her work as a writer and her broader role in the Indigenous media sector.
Tony Thorne ‘s endearing character design and vivid sense of place are evident in Little J & Big Cuz which is the culmination of his rich and diverse experience as an animation director, illustrator, visual artist, author of graphic novels and comic book illustrator. Their book and series are a celebration of both First Nations culture and of their combined skills as writer and artist.
