Emma is 10-years-old when her family move from England to Warradale, a country town in Australia. She is very homesick and lonely. The teacher at her new school is returning to England and the class wish to give her a gift. Emma suggests they make a friendship quilt. With the making of this quilt, Emma finds friendship and belonging.
