Sheep lives on a harsh rocky island, where food is scarce and competition is fierce. When Goat arrives, there are concerns there will not be enough food for everyone. The immediate response is to ‘Stop the goats!’ Goat is not worried and instead shows the Sheep that visitors can make a valuable contribution to a community. There is a clever use of vocabulary, humour and rhyme in this picture book, which expresses opinions about Australia’s detention centres.
