Hunter and her family are going on holiday visiting countries in Europe, and she is very excited. They have a long list of places to see and many adventures awaiting. Each country is experienced through a double page spread which introduces a detailed scenic illustration including architecture, food and various objects unique to that country. Examples include blacksand castles in Iceland, the Eiffel Tower in France, fjords in Norway and reindeers in Finland.
The story is a first-person narration told in rhyming couplets which work perfectly with the detailed, brightly coloured illustrations featuring many unique aspects of each particular country. Of special interest to young people will be food, activities and sights particular to each country. This is a good way to introduce young children to various cultures in Europe.
