On 28 June 1915, young James Martin sailed from Melbourne aboard the troopship Berrima – bound for Gallipoli. He was just fourteen years old, the youngest of all Australian soldiers. He died only four months later. This is also the story of his mother who, like many others, lost a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend.
