The National Centre has listed a selection of websites that may prove useful for research into Children’s Literature.  Some of these may require subscription to gain access.

AustLit: The Resource for Australian Literature
Supports scholarship, research, teaching and general enquiry. Contains some full text works, up-to-date information on the publication of Australian literature and related critical texts.

Australian School Library Association (ASLA)
This body is the national authority, the peak forum in the field of teacher librarianship and school library resource services. Its aim is to maximise opportunities for students to obtain independent lifelong learning and decision making skills.

Books Illustrated
Promoting children’s literature in Australia, specialising in exhibitions and sales of original book illustrations, limited edition prints and signed picture books. Website includes blog and news.

Carol Hurst’s Children’s Literature Site
A collection of reviews of  books for kids and ideas for classroom use. Includes collections of books about particular subjects, curriculum areas, themes, and professional topics.

Children’s Book Council (USA)
About children’s books and their promotion.

The de Grummond Children’s Literature Collection
One of North America’s leading research centres in the field of children’s literature.

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art
Based in Amherst, MA, USA, it includes exhibitions, programs, book lists, reviews, professional development and other features.
