Become a children’s book hero

Become a children’s book hero and ensure a permanent home for Australian Children’s Literature.

As a children’s book hero your donation will help the NCACL continue to protect and promote Australian children’s stories.  From Canberra, the NCACL collects and shares all that goes into the making of a book.  From first scribbles, roughs, illustrations, drafts, correspondence, finished manuscripts, publishes works, publicity material and much, much more. Uniquely a wealth of information about children’s writing and illustrating.

The National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature started four decades ago because of single person, Lu Rees. Lu was one woman on a quest to safeguard Australian children’s story books for future generations.  Today, experts describe the collection as a unique and significant national treasure.

Power up donations and give NCACL space to grow, more to show and the tools to share the collection.

Save a book today with your taxable deductible donation or bequest.

Secure your literary treasures for all Australians to enjoy now and in the future by gifting them to a respected and mature guardian organisation.
