Fat Head is cheeky, she’s certainly different, you might even say Fat Head is unique. Fat Head is a bird with an interesting colour scheme on her rather sparse feathers and an even more interesting temperament especially when other birds encroach on her backyard. But Liam loves her and lets her ride on the handlebars of his bike when she gets tired of flying. He even reckons Fat Head tried to pinch lollies from the supermarket! She certainly is one very special bird. A humorous yarn that Liam told to Aunty Ros and Aunty Naomi. David (Dub) Leffler’s illustrations are a perfect fit, you can’t help loving a bird in a bike helmet!
