Collaborative partnerships
The National Centre’s Board seeks like minded organisations to foster creative synergies. Local, national and international bodies are sought to create collaborative partnerships for educational programs, seminars, readings, workshops and exhibitions to enhance the learning experience for all.
Join us in this important quest.
Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation
Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF)
The ACTF strives to make Australian children’s lives better through screen content that reflects our national culture and values. The organisation supports the production of quality children’s media and distributes this content around the world. The ACTF is pleased to be a collaborative partner of the NCACL.
Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA)
The CBCA and the National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature Inc (the ‘Centre’) are delighted to have a formal partnership which supports our shared goal to promote and celebrate Australian creators of children’s books. The Centre is pleased to maintain the CBCA’s collection of Children’s Book Week Artwork from 1984. Exhibitions of this artwork, events and other collaborative ventures continue.
May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust (MGCLT)
The May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust (MGCLT) was established to foster the creation and promote the development of Australian children’s literature. For more than 20 years the Trust has honoured May Gibbs through Creative Time Residential Fellowships to support the careers of a wide range of contemporary authors and illustrators of books for babies through to young adults, reflecting the diversity of the Australian culture and environment. The National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature actively supports the mission of MGCLT through sharing and promoting information regarding the Trust’s upcoming Fellowships.
International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)
IBBY Australia Inc collaborates with the NCACL as a valued partner. It holds its print archives with the NCACL and co-toured the IBBY Honour List books in 2019. The NCACL cross-promotes with IBBY Australia via social media and websites, showcasing the work of talented Australian authors, illustrators and publishers.
